Three sisters stand behind a table covered in crayons, paint jars and drawings, outside their house. Genesis is in the middle holding up a paintbrush and a hand covered in paint. The title, Genesis and her great idea, is drawn above them in crayon.

Genesis sits at a table in the front yard with paint on her hands and cheeks, holding a paintbrush in the air. In front of her is a drawing of three tiny people and an open box of paints.

There was a girl named Genesis. She was the artistic younger sister in a homeschooling family. She loved to make tiny little people. She made them once a day, every day. She had paint on her hands and a little bit on her face too.

Inside a museum, Genesis points at a large sculpture of a bottom on a stone plinth. One sister covers her eyes with her hand. The other sits on a bench holding a remote, watching a cartoon on a television.

Genesis wanted to be an art teacher when she grew up. One time she went to the art museum with her sisters, Oakley and Sesame. She loved all the art pieces. Especially the butt one. Sesame put her hand over her eyes. Oakley was not even paying attention. She was watching TV. But secretly she kind of liked it.

The art station is wrecked. Paint jars are tipped over and crayons are scattered across the table and floor. Genesis kneels in the middle and cries. One sister tips a jar of paint onto a drawing and the other does a handstand behind her.

But Oakley and Sesame wanted Genesis to be a gymnast like them. They hated art. They messed up her art station and Genesis cried. Oakley did a handstand the whole time because her sister said so.

Three sisters sit at a table under a banner that reads Art Camp, each shaping a clay pot with their hands. Three finished pots stand in front of them in three sizes, small, medium and large.

So Genesis said come to summer art camp with me. They waited in the line together. Then they made ceramics. Genesis made the biggest one because she actually went to that camp once before. Sesame made the next biggest one. Oakley made the smallest one, but she liked it.

A busy studio under a banner that reads Genesis and Sisters Dance and Art School. On the left, three girls paint and build a pot at a long table. On the right, others dance in a tutu, balance at a ballet barre and hold a backbend on a mat.

Then they realized how good art could be. And Genesis realized how good dance could be. So they started a dance and art school, because dance is art too. And from that day on, Oakley and Sesame taught Genesis gymnastics, and Genesis taught them art.

“I think this story is about how Genesis just really wanted them to like art.”
